L-THEANINE
L-theanine is an amino acid found primarily in green and black tea and some mushrooms. It’s said to help ease anxiety, stress, and reduce insomnia.
L-Theanine has structural similarity to glutamine and both neurotransmitters that are produced from it (GABA and glutamate). It is known to reach the brain and influence its function following oral ingestion.
L- Theanine has influential effects on lifestyle associated diseases, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, hypertension, stress relief, tumor suppression, menstruation and liver injury.
This amino acid can maintain normal sleep and improve memory function and nullify the effect of the neurotoxins. The rate of bioavailability and its medium of ingestion in the body is one of the great concerns for its additional antioxidant properties.
L-Theanine is an amino acid found in green tea that produces tranquilizing effects in the brain. L-Theanine is also a derivative of Glutamic Acid which is one of the neurotransmitters found in the brain.
