Five single-species mushroom extract powders, each made from the whole fruiting body, never mycelium grown on grain. Lion's mane (Hericium erinaceus), Cordyceps militaris, Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) and Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor).
Each carries its beta-glucan, polysaccharide or triterpene figure disclosed per batch:
- Lion's mane, beta-D-glucans ≥ 26.20 percent
- Cordyceps militaris, cordycepin ≥ 0.35 percent
- Reishi, triterpenes ≥ 6.13 percent
- Chaga, beta-glucans ≥ 12.50 percent
- Turkey tail, glucans ≥ 47.53 percent
An extract is concentrated, so a gram of extract powder is not a gram of dried mushroom. Ratios run from 8:1 to 15:1 depending on species and method. Hot water draws out the polysaccharides, ethanol draws out the triterpenes, and a dual extract does both.
