Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum)

Reishi, known botanically as Ganoderma lucidum and as Lingzhi in classical Chinese tradition, is a glossy red-brown kidney-shaped shelf fungus that grows on hardwood. It was recorded in the Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing roughly two thousand years ago, and was used across classical Chinese, Japanese, and Korean practice for what practitioners described as longevity.

Triterpenes, the compound class for which Reishi is best known, were first characterised by Kubota and colleagues in 1982. Our Reishi is dual-extracted at a 15:1 ratio from the whole fruiting body, never mycelium on grain. Triterpenes 6.13 percent, polysaccharides 25.11 percent, disclosed per batch.
